WHO WE ARE
"Search for the missing" is a group of volunteers who have kindly come together to donate some of their own spare time to raise awareness of missing and exploited children. The full purpose and entire reason why Search for the Missing exists is to get as many missing people's face's out into the public as possible in order to give every child the quickest chance of recovery.
We at "Search for the Missing" are a non-profit voluntary organisation who aim and always try to succeed in bringing missing people home. We aim to help families in anyway possible that we can, and to assist them with every resource we have to support them.
It has been known that through posters being distributed throughout the world that more missing people are found much quicker by doing so, by getting there faces in the media, in the public eye.A fact about the world is that every year thousands of children and adults go missing and they do not get the publicity they need to help get them in the spotlight to be found quickly. This is just one of the reasons for Search for the Missing coming together, to help change this, by getting missing people's face's into the public eye as soon as they go missing.
After the disappearence of 5 year old Madeleine McCann people from all over the world decided it was time for a change and for that change to be that we the people in the world help in raising awareness to ALL missing children world-wide.
WHAT WE DO
At "Search for the Missing" we help to raise awareness to missing people in various different ways, the following ways in which we can help is shown below:
1.) Email appeals for missing people world-wide to businesses such as restaurants, cafe's, post offices, grocery stores
2.) Email Press Releases to media such as Newspapers, Magazines, Television Stations and Radio stations. These can be sent for any reason to raise awareness of a missing child or to publicise an event etc
3.) We run social networking sites for cases we work on (with permission from parents)
4.) Launch appeal events throughout the year for Missing People
5.) We create posters and flyers for missing people or to advertise events
6.) We also create luggage tags, banners and signs for missing people
7.) Create videos which are posted on our YouTube channel for distributing world-wide
